We booked for a special offer one-night stay with afternoon tea - the staff were friendly and helpful from the very first telephone call. The room, recently reburbished, was splendid with a huge comfortable bed and restful decor The bathroom was up to the minute with an array of toiletries and new towels.
We upgraded our afternoon tea to High Tea with champagne which was served in the elegant and very comfortable lounge- delicious chocolate slices and the scones obviously home-made.
Breakfast was taken in the main dining room with an excellent choice of menu.
The hotel stands on a prime site on the cliffs and Gorleston is a delightfully quiet sea side resort with a beautiful beach.
The manager, Sue Feek, appeared to be on permanent call and dealt in an efficient and friendly fashion with every small request.
We look forward to returning.
